2010 1st race of the year.

Yet again JVD Racing Clutch proves it’s consistency.

4 makes the A main in this race. And we have Danny Teh running as high as 3rd place waiting to catch up with the leaders with 24 minutes to go, and he came into the pit immediately when the sky open up.

Within 3 laps, rain had flooded the track and some encounter flooded engine with water, broken throttle servo and etc……………………it would be a good hard race with 7-8 drivers on  same laps with the leaders.

Kelvin couldn’t run the A final due to work commitment and had to leave early for India. Ah Leng and Sunny Wong too had their fair share in the top 7 until the sky open up.

We are looking into 2010, with a lot more positive results and we will have more drivers coming in.

Welcome Kelvin Ngow to JVD-RC-Asia as he had agreed full season running the clutch system.

Removing residue from clutch bell

When you find there's aluminium clutch residue located inside your clutch bell. It is normal.

The clutch bell can be reuse - all you have to do is removing/grind off the residue with a dremel. ( becareful not to overdo it )

If you do not have a dremel, sand paper will be just fine.

You will notice once the residue is remove, the surface of the clutch bell is still flat and ready to be reuse again, over and over again.

When using JVD clutches, biggest advantage will be - No more deep grooves created wby 3 pcs clutch system. And risk buying and using lot and lots of clutch bell.

Thank you

Alert: Mugen MBX6/6T owner

Please note:-

JVD Racing clutch can be use in Mugen Buggy / Truggy.

(1) You may use regular MBX 6 clutch bell. MBX clutch bell is a little longer than ordinary clutch bell. Put one shim only behind the engine cone. And you will see, the crank shaft is still inside so you can't lock the clutch bell without getting it stuck. To rectify the problems, please use small shims from your regular 3 pcs clutch which comes with Mugen clutch set.

(2) Or change it to a regular size clutch bell would do just fine.

Maintainance

When using JVD-RC Clutch Shoes, make sure the clutch bell is 100% free from former debris.

Use a dremel and grind the inside of the clutch bell. Even with a new clutch bell dremel the inside.

The smoother the inside of the bell the longer life U get out of a set of shoes.

When after some driving the shoes look kind of dark or even black it is a good sign. They will look shining after a few tanks.

Congrats to Kelvin Ngow on his 3rd place finish in MNL Round 4 in the Malaysian Championship. ( using JVD-RC clutch for the first time, due unfortunate pit crew mistakes, he should have finish higher than 3rd place )

Clutch Bell

Attention:-

(1) Diameter of the clutch bell is bigger; it might cause more wear,
overheating and less punch;
(2) Diameter of the clutch bell is smaller then there will be more
surface of the shoes that will touch the clutch bell and you have less slip and more punch.

Recommended:- 26.00 mm to 26.80 mm
internal diameter clutch bell.

Loose track: 0.9 X 2 spring + 1.0 X 2 spring
Track with lots of jumps: 1.0 X 4 sprng or
1.0 X 2 spring + 1.0 X 2 spring

Thank you
